"Shelf"
Today I finally came about as close to getting those shelves I've been going on about for the past week as I have ever come in that I wen into The Home Depot and look at shelves. Eventually I got a pretty good idea of what I was going to need so all I need is some form of truck or SUV to get it home then some form of skilled hand saw operator to cut it. That's about it. So the shelf saga has finally come to an end, every body breath a sigh of relief. Hopefully it's obvious I'm being sarcastic on some level(s).
Outside of that I played with my niece for several hours and went with my roommate to The Best Buy to purchase some memory for his laptop. Best Buy in particular because he had a $50 gift card for there.
Tomorrow I am actually scheduled to go and see Avatar at the IMAX in the afternoon. Around 12:30. I actually purchased a ticket for both myself and a buddy of mine, a grand total of $36 dollars. for the both of us. I don't know if he will ever pay me back or if he'll even go for that matter. If he has to opt-out for some reason I'm going on my own because I do actually want to see the movie and also the tickets I purchased ahead of time are non-refundable so there ya go.
This will of course make it harder to to go for my five mile walk/jog tomorrow. And it's supposed to be sunny too. It's hard to keep up the habit when sunshine is so relatively rare. I mean I could still go for a walk with an umbrella technically, that would be better than nothing. Right? I don't think I'm the type to run in the rain though.
So tomorrow the two options are to either get up at like 7:30am so I can be at the trail by 8:00 or 8:30 then maybe I'll be back by 10/10:30 and still be able to go down to Avatar. The IMAX, the real one this time with the ginormous screen and not the little teeny franchise kind at the local theater, is about 45 to 60 minutes away. (side note: apparently ginormous is a word. I did not know that.) And we'll need lunch probably before hand so we'd want to be down there by 11:00am or so. So ya, I'd have to be walking on the trail no later than 8am to back by 9:30/10:00 to leave to be down there at 11:00 to have lunch...So glad I worked all that out. Of course I have never actually got my shit together I have arrived at that trail before 9:30 in all this time. But this might be the right motivator. Or possibly I'll just make it a relatively short walk/run instead of the five mile vareity. Or I'll push myself to run a lot more of it. Which ever.
On the PHP front I have been going back through the book kind of making up little exercises and demonstrating functions and features of the language/environment on my own, using the book and my notes as a reference only, and I think it is working pretty well. I've only gotten up to the third PHP chapter, haven't started on the SQL stuff or the HTA/VBScript equivalent yet. I'll start on that eventually probably.
This will have to be the end of the post as I didn't really have that much to talk about anyway.
